SUPERFIT CONDENSING COMBI BOILER

SuperFit is the first product in the Fit condensing combi boiler series, developed under the Alarko brand for both the European and Turkish markets. The name Fit was conceptualized by the industrial designer to highlight the boiler’s technological features, which allow it to fit seamlessly inside a kitchen cabinet due to its compact depth, without compromising its heating power and performance.

The launch of SuperFit included brochures, TV advertisements, and social media campaigns, featuring a yoga instructor seated next to the boiler. This creative approach effectively communicated the product’s core attributes—fit, modern, simple, functional, and high-quality—to potential customers. As a result, SuperFit not only reinforced Alarko-Carrier’s brand values but also established its own product strategy through its distinctive aesthetic and functional features.

The market success of the SuperFit led to emerging a new condensing boiler with digitalized features, which is positioned as high-segment in the market and resulted in the Fit series.

ALDENS - FLOOR STANDING BOILER DESIGN

The floor-standing boiler design with Alarko-Carrier exemplifies the significant role industrial design plays in driving product innovation. Collaboration between the industrial designer and Alarko-Carrier’s R&D Department for two-years has resulted in a product that achieved both functional excellence and aesthetic distinction.

The Alarko-Carrier boiler range involves the production of 13 different models of floor-standing boilers, ensuring functionality for both domestic and commercial heating applications. These boilers have been categorized into three different height groups with 13 different capacities, each designed to optimize human-boiler interaction through an ergonomic control panel with adjustable angles (Figure 6).

In this project, design is not merely a tool for styling but a strategic element in product development. The objective is to create a solution that responds to contemporary market demands for higher energy efficiency and reduces emissions while maintaining a distinctive visual identity for the Alarko brand.

An essential aspect of this project is to reinforce Alarko’s brand identity through the design of the new boilers. The design language developed for this product has been informed by the company’s core values of trust, quality, and robustness. By integrating these values into the product’s form, the design has contributed to a coherent and modern visual identity for the brand.

This project demonstrates the critical role of industrial design in shaping a product’s functionality and identity for brand recognition. By integrating industrial design with engineering and corporate strategic objectives, the outcome effectively met the demands of both the market and the brand, illustrating the value of design-led innovation.

COOLER DESIGN

This cooler and mini cooler design for Pepsi is tailored for supermarket environments, effectively enhancing brand visibility and consumer engagement. The cooler prominently displaying the iconic Pepsi logo and color scheme, which includes bold blue and red elements.

The arched top design, complemented by a circular logo, draws attention and creates a striking focal point in the retail space. The illuminated interior adds to the allure, ensuring that Pepsi products are well-lit and inviting, encouraging customers to make a purchase. The design not only emphasizes functionality but also reinforces the Pepsi brand identity, creating a memorable shopping experience.

SMARTFIT CONDENSING COMBI BOILER

SmartFit condensing combi boiler has been designed for strenghtening the Alarko brand in local and European markets, which is the high-segment product of the Fit series initiated by SuperFit. The technological appearance of the parametric design features has been leveraged to create a smart and high-tech aesthetic, as well as a gradient between the dark grey profiles and black glass surface. This new aesthetic direction inspired the name of SmartFit.

In designing the SmartFit, the designer has focused on embodying a new form, function, and meaning to create a new user practice through design capability while adhering to Alarko‘s brand values.
